HIGH-QUALITY DRILLING SERVICES. Monitoring wells. The majority of environmental projects SGS Drilling undertakes are monitoring wells. Our team drills monitoring wells to measure the quality of ground water in situations where contamination is suspected or known. The wells monitor water quality on a quarterly basis after the first test is achieved. Recovery Wells. When our clients know they have a problem, recovery wells allow them to pump and treat the contaminated water. Certified Well Decommissioning/Sealing. SGS Drilling has the equipment, knowledge and certification to perform well decommissioning and sealing. Dual Rotary Drilling. We are one of only three companies in New Jersey that uses this proprietary drill. The casing and the drill rod move independently of one another which creates a very flexible tool that can handle challenging drilling situations with speed and safety. Odex Drilling. (6”, 8”, 10” drills) The casing and the drill rod work as one and allow our team to drill efficiently in unstable formations. Air Rotary Drilling. Air rotary drill rigs utilize compressed air with roller cone or down the hole air hammers to efficiently drill bedrock formations. Mud Rotary Drilling. Mud rotary drill rigs utilize high capacity positive displacement mud pumps to circulate mud or organic based fluids while drilling in overburden to stabilize the borehole and remove cuttings. Hollow Stem Auger Drilling. Augers rigs utilize hollow stem augers of various sizes Hydropunch Ground Water Sampling. This is a reliable way to collect a discreet representative water sample in overburden formations. Rock Coring. NQ and HQ wire line rock coring systems are utilized to obtain rock cores of bedrock formations. 94mm Punch Coring System. This allows our team to take continuous samples. Geoprobe “Direct Push” Sampling. This versatile drilling method is used to quickly and efficiently collect soil and ground water samples form overburden formations. Soil vapor sampling systems are also available to obtain soil gas samples. ORC/HRC Injection. ORC and HRC drilling and injection is performed with Direct Push drilling techniques and specialized high pressure injection/pumping equipment. Packer Testing. Inflatable packers are used to straddle packer tests specified zones in bedrock boreholes. Specialize manifolds, data recording systems and metering systems are available to provide accurate recording of packer test data. Pump Tests. A wide variety of pumping and flow meter manifold systems are available to accurately record pump tests data. Multiport Well Installation. Multiport well installations are performed for economy and efficiency of ground water investigation/remediation systems. SGS crews are experienced in both bed rock and overburden multiport well installations. Vibrasonic Soil Drilling. Shallow soil boring and small diameter Air Sparge and SVE wells can be installed very quickly using our vibrasonic head. Backhoe and Test Pitting Services. In addition to our drilling services, SGS can provide experienced crews and required equipment to execute tests pit requirements.
